The Americas AVIRE team is looking for a highly driven, highly motivated individual to take us to new heights. In this role, you will be responsible for both internal and supplier quality. You will have the opportunity to establish a robust quality system ensuring compliance to both internal and external quality requirements. You’ll have an eye toward continuous improvement, and you’ll inject a new level of rigor into our operations’ processes. You’ll focus your efforts on ensuring that our team is supported to effectively build high-quality products for our customers.

What you will do:

  1. Define and establish a quality system for managing both internal and external (supplier) quality requirements aligned with Avire’s corporate policies.
  2. Work directly with operational leadership to manage quality outputs/results in alignment with business objectives.
  3. Work cross-functionally to ensure effective quality processes are employed and tracked throughout the organization, including supplier oversight, i.e., supplier quality audits and first article inspections.
  4. Be the point of contact and leader for external audits including 3P certifications, i.e., CSA, UL, Intertek, etc. and be the owner for resolving any associated findings.
  5. Build a culture of continuous improvement to ensure discipline in problem identification and investigation with effective mitigation of root cause issues.
  6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining robust EH&S processes and procedures.
  7. Other responsibilities as assigned or defined by the Management System.

Performance Objectives

  1. Establish and maintain Quality Management System including periodic assessments and benchmarking
  2. Key measures (KPI’s) of the Quality Management System effectiveness are established, maintained and utilized for continuous improvement
  3. Quality assurance processes and procedures are incorporated throughout the order-to-cash process to ensure customer satisfaction
  4. Structured problem-solving methodologies are incorporated into the company culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering management, electronics, or other applicable area of major
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a production environment holding positions of progressive responsibility
  • Experience in an APQP-style management system a plus
  • Experience with EH&S processes and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Proven analytical ability and familiarity with a KPI-driven operations environment
  • Experience working in a Lean environment a plus
  • Lean Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
  • Proven ability to facilitate and solve problems in a team environment
  • Experience managing regulatory requirements and certifications, i.e. UL, CSA
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing a plus
  • Experience with KPI metric management and deployment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse groups of people both within, and outside, of the organization.
  • Fluent in English
