My name is Parfes Mohammed, and I am a Principal Engineer at AVIRE. I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering and bring over 24 years of experience in the electronics industry, covering hardware and software design, as well as regulatory compliance. My diverse background spans commercial, industrial, and medical device development, along with R&D innovation and IP generation.

I joined the AVIRE team in April 2022. I was drawn to AVIRE because it is a growing company with a focus on R&D in Maidenhead and a strong commercial presence in premium regulated markets. The combination of a small company feel with the benefits of big company ownership works well here. I found the diverse, professional, and welcoming team particularly appealing.

What excites me most about my job is the ever-changing nature of R&D; every day is different, which keeps the job interesting. I thrive on working with a passionate team to tackle complex problems and develop solutions that help people and make the world a better place. At AVIRE, I have been working on bringing the latest generation of our light curtain system to market, ensuring optimal safety and regulatory compliance. I am also involved in developing an innovative new lift safety-related product.
