Two-Way System Requirements
- Call Boxes: Required at every floor and elevator lobby above or below the level of exit discharge.
- Call Commander: Provides a means on-site to communicate between the rescue personnel and trapped parties.View call box activations in the order they are received. Typically installed in the FCC or lobby, as required by the local AHJ.
- BOSS: Includes built-in supervision of call box integrity, power, and phone lines. Integrates with most alarm systems and fire panels. Typically installed in the FCC.
- Primary & Secondary Power Supply: Monitored for the presence of voltage. Operates for 24 hours on stand-by and 4 hours of system activation.
- Signage: Instructions, directional, international symbol of disability, and photoluminescent signs available, as required by code.
- Cable: Two hour rated fire cable allows system to remain operable in the case of a fire or building emergency, in compliance with NFPA 72® 2022.
- Off-site Monitoring: Call Commander can be programmed to ring simultaneously on-site while calling off-site monitoring.
