- The Machine Room Unit (7100) acts as the system's nerve center and is connected through the building's network or data gateway. It gathers input from the Elevator In-Car Unit, provides real-time system status through its LED indicators, and efficiently channels data and voice through ethernet and a POTS (or its equivalent) connection.
- The All-in-One Elevator In-Car Unit (7200), serves as the primary interface for trapped passengers, integrating the camera, display, and phone. The Modular Elevator In-Car Unit (7200M) provides an alternate interface for trapped passengers, enabling the use of an existing elevator phone and/or camera. Both units ensure clear communication between the passenger and emergency personnel.
- When an emergency call is activated from within the elevator cab, voice and video capabilities are transmitted via the single twisted pair in the traveling cable.
- The monitoring service receives the voice call.
- The unit will state it's location and SmartView ID before starting the call
- If the elevator car is occupied, the monitoring agent can then send a text type message to the display in the car
- If there is no response through the voice call or text message, the monitoring agent will log into the SmartView Hub and activate the camera inside the elevator car
- The trapped party can use the car panel buttons (Open/Close or Yes/No) and provide a yes/no response
- Monitoring agent will continue two-way conversation and remain on the line until help has arrived
- Once assistance has arrived, the monitoring agent will terminate the call
SmartView 2: Two-Way Elevator Communication Platform
The SmartView 2 two-way elevator communication platform simplifies your building compliance with ASME A17.1 2019/CSA B44-19 and IBC 2018 requirements for two-way elevator visual communication, providing the hearing impaired with an improved method to communicate with rescue services
All-in-one or Modular Design: Streamlines installation by offering a modular interface to work with an existing elevator phone and/or camera, or an all-in-one interface that integrates a phone (microphone and speaker), display, and camera into a single unit, ensuring fewer components and a more straightforward installation.
Flexible Programming: Configure the system on-site using laptop or phone.
Safe and Secure: With increasing concerns about data privacy, the SmartView 2 Platform prioritizes safety & security.
Cost-Effective Installation: The system’s design reduces components and wiring (by transmitting data and audio over a single twisted pair of wiring), saving both time and money.
