My name is Jake Martin, and I am a Test Engineer at AVIRE. My career began while I was still in college, working as a Test Engineer for GE Healthcare. Over 12 years, I gained extensive experience in the CT and X-Ray divisions of GE Healthcare. Before joining AVIRE, I spent two years as a Test Engineer at Terumo Cardiovascular.

I joined the AVIRE team on 20th March 2024. The welcoming and friendly attitude of everyone I spoke with during the interview process made a strong impression on me. I saw an opportunity to leverage my experience in a role where I could make a meaningful contribution towards our company’s mission: to create quality, reliable, lifesaving communication systems.

What excites me the most about my job is the constant challenge of understanding and identifying the unique situations and environments in which our systems will be used. Ensuring that they work as expected in critical situations is both challenging and rewarding.
At AVIRE, I have worked on SmartCommand 128 and SmartView 2, contributing to the reliability and effectiveness of these important products.
