Jordi Pujolar
Engineering Manager and Site Lead, Spain
Overview

My name is Jordi Pujolar. I studied Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering at UPC, after which I participated in various courses and postgraduate studies, including Project Management (UOC), the Leadership Development Program (Halma), and an Advanced Program in Management Development (UOC). Since I was 16, I have worked in different R&D centers, and throughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to launch several business projects.

I joined AVIRE in 2017, having been part of the MICROKEY team since late 1996. My role has evolved significantly over the years. I started at MICROKEY as a firmware developer and gradually took on more responsibilities, collaborating on a multitude of projects. Currently, I hold the position of Engineering Manager and Site Lead for the Barcelona team.

What I am most passionate about in my work is product development, especially the definition and start-up phase of any new project. This is where the explosion of ideas and abstract concepts take shape as we define the architecture and set of solutions. I also enjoy the launch phase of new products, as it allows the team’s enormous effort to materialise into something valuable for our clients and society.

At AVIRE, I have worked on nearly all the MICROKEY product families we develop for third parties, including home automation equipment, appliances, industrial controllers, equipment for chemical laboratories, and professional IoT coffee machines. Within AVIRE's range, I have also been involved in almost all the equipment developed in Barcelona, such as emergency call devices, mobile network gateways, digital audio modules, and various ecosystem devices like LPBus accessories, sensors, and I/O modules.
